About us

We are a youth choir from the Adventist Church in Ambohidratrimo. Our name, Akon’ny Lanitra, means “the echo of heaven”.

Our story

Akon’ny Lanitra was founded on 19 June 2022 within the Adventist Church of Ambohidratrimo, with one shared desire: to praise God through song and to share His message through music.

Since then, the choir has grown and now brings together more than 30 members. It composes its own songs and has released its first DVD, “Izy hiady ho anao”.

How we are organised

• A president, who coordinates the life and activities of the choir.
• A choir director, in charge of musical direction.
• Musicians, who accompany our songs.
• More than 30 singers, in four voice sections: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses.

Every week, the choir meets to rehearse and prepare for church services, concerts and recordings — with dedication and joy.
